Taybarns success story

We are delighted to announce that our Autocall trial in Coventry's newly opened Taybarns restaurant has been successful. Taybarns are Whitbread's latest success story, an eat-all-you-like buffet concept that offers a wide selection of freshly prepared, excellent quality food at a fixed price. Taybarns first restaurant opened in Swansea and serves upwards of 6000 customers each week. Other Taybarns can be found at Barnsley, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Wigan and South Shields.

The Coventry restaurant was fitted with two Autocall displays in the bar area and a key pad at Reception. Customers are given a numbered token after they pay and can relax at the bar until the Autocall display shows their number, to alert them that a table is ready for them. Further Autocall systems have been planned for every Taybarns restaurant and will be installed this year.
