The installer first checks the required supporting components, known as prerequisites, are already installed on the PC.

 

Install Prerequisites

 

The required prerequisites for SmartCore are:

 

 PostgreSQL 8.2                          

 .Net Framework 3.5

 .NET Framework 4.0

 Visual C++ 2010                        

 

 

These items are supplied on the installation CD and the installer can install them for you.

 

 

 

 

 

PostgreSQL is the database used by SmartCore. The .NET Framework is a Microsoft program that is widely used and may well already be installed on the PC.
