Neath's latest Conversion
Neath Civic Centre
Neath Civic Centre was built in 2004
with an attractively designed foyer containing their busy One Stop Shop and a coffee shop.
The Customer Service team had been successfully using our System 16 Queue Management System
when we were asked to upgrade their system to Smartsoft. We replaced the System 16 key pads
with Smartkey virtual Web based key pads and added a Smartkey at Reception to record every
Customer enquiry. The floor standing ticket printer was updated to a Touchscreen for Customers
to choose their enquiry and a desk printer to print their ticket.
We replaced the Customer LED display with a TFT monitor
to display Queuing information and to call Customers for service using English and Welsh.
Neath has a population of 47,000, some 26% of whom speak Welsh, so bilingual speech
was an essential element of the upgrade.
One Stop Shop staff are delighted with the 60 different
Smartreports generated by the system and the Smartstatus live monitoring. Smartreports has
been written in consultation with Customer Service Managers so that the extensive
Queue Management data collected can be easily accessed and displayed in stylish
Management Reports.
