This community access to Council services has been well received by local residents and we have recently upgraded the DigiQ system by replacing the pre-printed tickets with a POS desk printer at Reception and changing the RF buttons to Smartkey virtual Web based key pads at each Counter and Interview Room.
We also added our Smartsoft system running under Windows 10, so that staff could create extensive reports to provide detailed analysis for each Customer enquiry and Smartstatus to show live monitoring of the system.
The Hub now calls Customers for service in Welsh followed by English, as bilingual speech is now a requirement for all Welsh Councils, to comply with the Welsh Language Standards policy.
