Programming DigiQ
Entering the Programming Mode
DigiQ software configuration settings can be programmed by entering the DigiQ programming mode described below, or by using a System16 keypad. The DigiQ programming mode enables you to quickly access and change the most common settings. For more advanced configurations you will need to use a System16 keypad.
To enter the DigiQ programming mode you need to use the following procedure, which has been designed to prevent inadvertent access. With the power turned off press the small black switch located on the rear panel of the DigiQ display just above and to the left of the Audio Line Out socket. Turn on the power and keep the switch pressed. After a few seconds DigiQ will enter the programming mode and the display will light up. Release the switch. You are now in the programming mode. Once you are in the programming mode you can use either the switch or a Wire Free button to change a setting apart from the first setting, Control Mode, which can only be changed with the switch. Each time you press the switch / wire free button the currently displayed setting option will change. Keep pressing the switch to cycle though the available options. To progress to the next setting in the sequence don't press the switch for a couple of seconds. The program will then step on to the next setting in the sequence.

Program Counter Displays and Wire Free Buttons |
The displays tests the digits by showing the numbers 0 – 9 in sequence on the left digit followed by 0 – 9 on the right digit. During the test if you press a Wire Free button the button will be captured and the display will change briefly to show N* where * is the counter / position number allocated to the button and the chime will sound and also announce the number. If the button has not previously been captured DigiQ will locate the next free button number and allocate it to the button. To clear all captured Wire Free buttons see Remove Wire Free Buttons.
During the display test you can also configure the Counter display addresses. When the display test first starts the address is set to one. Pressing the white switch on on the rear of Counter 1 will program that display with address = 1. The chime will sound and also announce the Counter number. The address then increments so that you can proceed to Counter 2 etc. The chapter on Counter Displays describes the programming in more detail.
